Social Workers

Social workers help kiritaki identify strengths and empower them to achieve goals that improve their involvement in treatment and their community. They collaborate with kiritaki and their whānau to understand trauma and address social factors preventing them from fully engaging in treatment.

Examples include:

  • Providing therapeutic support and psychoeducation

  • Responding to treatment barriers impacting therapy

  • Empowering kiritaki to manage social complexity and decision making

  • Assistance accessing community supports

  • Providing advice and practical support to engage with complex systems and services
