I am a Registered Psychotherapist and Registered Occupational Therapist and have worked in the mental health field in both capacities for over 25 years, here in NZ as well as the UK. My career has spanned paediatrics, secure psychiatric settings, community and not for profit settings and I have specialised in working with trauma especially the impact of sexual violence. I have a strong interest and skillset in working with neurodivergence, especially ADHD and autism and most recently I am drawn to the impact of sexual assault on adults with autism. I work within a psychodynamic and integrative trauma informed framework, underpinned by transactional analysis as well as other theoretical models.
I belong to the Psychotherapy Board of Aotearoa New Zealand (PBANZ) and Association of Psychotherapy Aotearoa New Zealand (APANZ) as well as the Transactional Analysis Association Aotearoa New Zealand (TAANZ). I offer treatment and assessment under the ACC SCS contract as well as supervision and specialist consultancy for work with neurodivergent clients.
I work from Casebrook in Christchurch.
